SHEIN.com

I know press-on can be expensive as well, especially depending on the complicated designs. But you can buy inexpensive press-on nails at SHEIN.com.

If you go to SHEIN.com and type “939AP” into the search bar, you’ll find the list I’ve put together for press-on nails. I picked these because they’re affordable, easy to wear, and actually look really good for everyday styles or special occasions.

If you’ve been thinking about trying press-ons or switching up your nail routine, it’s worth taking a look — you might find a set you end up loving.

Even if you’re just looking for press-on ideas or inspiration to show your nail technician, feel free to check out my list.

There are also some summer outfit ideas that match the different nail styles I’ve included on my list, so everything feels put together and coordinated.

My Experience

I know what you’re thinking: getting your nails done is really cheap in Cambodia, so why would anyone bother with press-on nails?

You can go to almost any salon or market and find people ready to do your nails at insanely cheap prices. I’ve actually gotten my nails done at both kinds of places: regular nail salons and market nail stalls.

The place I went to wasn’t particularly expensive, but they still charged around $20–30. Even in America, I’ve heard prices can range anywhere from $20 to $200 or more, depending on where you go, so Cambodian salon prices are still pretty affordable by comparison.

But speaking from experience in the U.S., I used to spend around $30 on nails every two weeks. I didn’t get them done all the time, but I would go whenever I was feeling down or stressed out. It honestly helped boost my mood more than I expected. But still, it adds up quickly over time.

That’s why press-ons have become so appealing. A lot of girls are switching to them now, and for good reason. If you start using press-on nails regularly, you end up saving more than you think — not just money, but also time and the stress of scheduling appointments.

It’s a small change, but it can make beauty routines feel more flexible and less expensive while still letting you enjoy cute nails whenever you want.

Salon Experience in Cambodia

The salon experience itself was great. They finished my nails in about an hour and a half, and they lasted around 2–3 weeks. I loved the design, and it really felt like the nail artist understood the exact look I wanted. I also chose a simpler, softer style, which may be why the price wasn’t too high.

Still, for many Cambodians, $30 is considered expensive when you can get your nails done for as little as $5.

If you’ve never been to a market in Cambodia, you might be surprised by how many talented nail artists work there.

I got my nails done at a market salon for $15. It took about three hours to finish, and honestly, I started feeling uncomfortable sitting there for that long. The design, however, turned out beautiful. At the time, it felt worth both the money and the wait.

The problem was durability.

The nails only lasted three days before one popped off while I was scratching my leg. That experience made it clear that sometimes paying more really does mean better quality.

That’s part of why I like press-on nails.

Press-ons are easy, convenient, and surprisingly fun. Once you find the right glue, you can do your nails at home without needing to sit in front of a nail tech every two weeks or every month. And if you’re a little — or a lot — antisocial, that’s honestly a huge benefit.

Of course, press-ons won’t usually look as perfect as professionally done nails, but I still enjoy doing them myself. There’s something fun about experimenting with different styles at home, and if you really get into it, you can even learn the full acrylic process over time and improve your skills.
